Prayer for Recovery, mentally, physically and spiritually.

We can only picture and feel what the returned hostages must have faced day in day out in a dark recess void of fresh air or light, a truly helpless and what seemed hopeless situation, where their cries for help could not be heard. Being taunted alone, traumatised beyond what anyone could understand or ever humanly endure, but endured they did.

We live in that flicker of hope as we pray that Someone greater and bigger beyond us gives them peace, Godly peace that lasts, back in the place and space, to hope, to love and to faith again, that their hearts begin to sing again, that they recover by the Grace of God, mentally, physically and spiritually.

Holy Spirit we intercede for all the survivors and their families and the nation of Israel having seen the evidence of the atrocities committed against them that no one can deny happened to them, to start healing inwardly from the scars of their memories that no longer can trigger that gnawing pain.

Help them Father, to mend in the depths of their hearts and minds, and give them a time that enables them to forgive as Jesus forgave his murderers. Let There be a fresh page that speaks of life and life abundant from this day forward, refilling what are broken spirits with fresh manna from Heaven, food for their souls, living waters of God to revive, replenish and restore, to start building again, bit by bit one block at a time, to fully recover in every way, in Godly timing.
