1 Timothy 4:1-5 NKJV The Great Apostasy "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer."

Thank You and praise You Father, for Your Goodness and Mercy. We thank You for Your Truth in Scripture and choose to not depart from it. It is food for our souls and although the path be narrow, we remain on it and are not distracted from it.

There are many who profess You, and their behaviours are apart from you. Examine us Holy Spirit, and see to it our ways are Your ways, our speech is seasoned with Salt and Light from You, and renew our mind to obedience to Your Word. We ask Holy Spirit that You guard our hearts for out of it comes the issues of life that we are meant to walk through, but remaining victorious over it, not being consumed or overwhelmed by carnality and all its trappings. We are spirit and we search for God all day long. If He is not in it, then we stay clear of it.

Holy Spirit You are our rearguard to watch after us and keep us away from any ambush. Keep us satisfied with the Truth of the Living God and not chase after man's wisdom and man's ways. Let us not be blinded or blind-sided by well-meaning people whose speech are tainted by worldly ideas and self-glory, who speak doctrines of the devil, not of God. Let us not be consumed by our busyness and miss the business of God's Kingdom, a governmental and powerful Kingdom, where the Headship is in and of God.

Matthew 15:8-14 Defilement Comes from Within Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying, “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”

He answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”— then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:

‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me,

Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”

When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”

Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”

But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
