1 Samuel 16:7

New King James Version

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Father thank You and praise You in all things. That we are the work of Your Hands, each one uniquely made and wonderful.

Thank You that You made us in Your Image and Likeness.

Thank You our very structure contains Your DNA that marks us out for You.

Thank You that You never abandon us or leave us orphans, but call us into sonship, accepted, assured of belonging.

Thank You that through life's journey, as imperfect as we are, You have given back our birth right and re-instated us back into position. That Jesus has secured for us our hope of salvation. We work it out with a reverential fear of You, an honouring that keeps us on target and on track with all that is Yours.

Thank You Father for our faith, for the times ahead may be turbulent as prophesied in Matthew 24, but for You in us, we are empowered to steady the ship, and maintain course. It is narrow, but doable with You at the helm.

You have used imperfect vessels before us and today, to do Your Perfect work on earth.

Reveal to us each day, how to stay grounded in You, not distracted by man and man's deviant and selfish ways.

Ignite us with the Fire of Holy Spirit to take us out of dormancy, passivity, and slumber, to burst forth. Out from nominal status into fully impassioned believers, with fervent, ardent zeal to start prodding at the embers, and set hearts alight for Kingdom business in Kingdom mindsets.

The old has passed away, just as You said, some things had to take place for us to awake. Things had to run their course, go to the wire with pestilence to open our eyes, the robbing of freedom to have us unite, the state of a nation, that has worked in our favour to open up repentant hearts and injustice that only stirs us up out from being subjected to silence, out of voicelessness, to voicing and speaking up for what is just. To do as Mordecai did and alert the Esther. For the Esther to go before the King and bring favour and blessings to our people. That the hangman’s noose and its trappings, pass us by and the very evil meant to harm us backfires for the enemy to fall on their own swords and plans they hatched in wickedness.

Father these days we are alert. We sow into good soil the seeds of humility, obedience and honouring, to reap the blessings of our plantings that shall hold us in good stead for generations to come. To Jesus be all the Glory.
